I just found out that .mr is a TLD. This means that I could potentially be located at ryan.mr.
I use ryanmr all over the Internet. I tried to see if ry.an was available but it was not.
Ryan is my first name and my middle name is Michael and of course my last name is Rampersad. Together, that comes out to ryanmr. That would be an excellent domain name.
I looked at the pricing for ryan.mr, it sure was shocking. It’s $314usd/year. That’s out of my budget! .mr is the TLD for Mauritania, a country in north-western Africa.
If I could get a hold of that domain, albeit unlikely with that price for just a single year, it would greatly refine and define my presence on the web.
Update
I also just found out that I could get rampers.ad. It’s running for $95usd/year. That’s better than $314 but it’s still high and there are rules like having to be a resident for twenty years or jumping through hoops because ad-serving companies have burned the registers there. I actually like rampers.ad a lot better than ryan.mr because then I could easily sub-domain out ryan.rampers.ad. That’d be incredible.
It’d be better than ifupdown, it could back to being a linux package. I’m quite in love with rampers.ad.
