Ryan Rampersad is a web developer, technology enthusiast and educator. During a long winter vacation in sixth grade, he idly picked up an HTML book. In middle school, he was bored so he learned just enough ASP.net to realize it was icky and sought a more friendly world of PHP and JavaScript. At the same time, his middle school computer teacher wanted to teach flash, so Ryan taught him as learned flash himself. During Ryan’s brief foray into the Minnesota State Science Fair, he discovered the incredible world of MooTools and has been tagging along since the days of primordial soup, version .87! In high school, he started learning Java as a freshmen and started this blog as a sophomore. As an upperclassmen he often returned to his middle and high school computer classes to give presentations and share his knowledge. In his junior year, he was hired as a Community Education assistant for technology. Since then, he has graduated high school and is attending the University of Minnesota in the College of Science & Engineering for a major in Computer Science. He is always seeking new opportunities on the horizon and promoting what he loves.
